What is somatic coaching?

Somatic coaching is an approach that aims to allow the conscious mind to take a step back so that we can connect with the body.

Somatic coaching is a unique coaching style that brings forward a highly intelligent “self,” and by reconnecting our body with our thinking self we can create a powerful space for the body to speak its wisdom. This allows us to be present, trust our competence and transform at a deep level.

Our body holds unconscious patterns that keep us feeling trapped – repeating the same behaviours and ways of thinking and feeling over and over, despite how much we understand our challenge  or commit to change. 

Somatic coaching helps us release these patterns at a deeper and often subconscious level. We learn to develop greater intuition, access a deeper understanding of self, speak our truth, and be our authentic self. 

With somatic approach instead of asking ‘why’ something is the way it is, we open to explore our sensory perceptions and emotional responses and how they have contributed to patterns of behaviour.

Somatic coaching is the most powerful and holistic way to get to the core of the challenges and to reach the goals that are completely aligned with ourselves.

01. How is somatic life coaching different from traditional life coaching?

Much of traditional coaching mostly involves intellectual processes, like mindset work, action plans and goal setting. They create insights that open things up, give us exciting innovative ideas and change our perspectives on things.

But they don’t go any deeper than that and often we find ourselves once again coming up against the same old patterns.

A lasting change needs to happen not only at the level of the mind, but also at the level of our bodies as this is where our most deeply engrained habits, patterns of behavior, and interpretations of the world are rooted, and this is where they can be accessed and truly transformed.

Somatic coaching involves intellectual processes just like traditional coaching, but it takes this one step further and includes also the physical. Coaching in this way helps us interpret the unspoken and subtle cues from our bodies – tensions, sensations, imbalances, etc. – and find answers through somatic enquiry, deep listening and embodiment practices where needed.

02. What can you expect from me as your coach?

As a life coach, I empower you to set goals and establish accountability for personal and professional success. You set the agenda and I help you stay focused, break through the obstacles and develop new actions and habits so you can reach your desired goals.

It is all about learning who you truly are, exploring how your mind works and reconnecting with your body wisdom. In sessions with me you will get clarity about what keeps you stuck, deconstruct limiting beliefs and habits, transform unhelpful ways of thinking and change your relationship with your emotions so you can act in ways that support you in living the life you want.

I consider working with my clients a privilege and a great responsibility. During our coaching relationship you can count on me to be professional, honest, authentic and fully present for you. My coaching style has been described as gentle, intuitive and empathic, yet telling you the raw truth when you wish to hear it.

My mission is to create a safe and compassionate environment where you can feel both safe to explore, learn and share what is really going on for you. I hold you accountable for what you say you’re going to do and I encourage, support and believe in you! Even when you won’t! I push you gently back in the fight when you feel like abandoning your path and if you start to fall back on old habits or old beliefs. I use my coaching skills and powerful tools to help you raise your self-awareness, CHALLENGE you and help you to recognize where you may be holding yourself back.

I maintain strict confidentiality on all that is shared during our sessions.

I also promise you that our sessions are infused with lightness, positive attitude and a healthy dose of humor. Life doesn’t need to be so serious!

We work as a team, focused on you and your goals. I do not choose your direction but I hold your hand as you make your own unique journey and witness your transformation, which gives meaning to what I do as a coach and your fellow human being.

02. What I expect from you

Coaching is serious work that requires commitment, effort and courage. I expect you to understand that it is not a quick fix. I need you to be ready to do some deep digging, prepared to uncover some parts of you that you won’t necessarily like and to be open to feedback in order to maximise your learning. I expect you to be honest and open with me as only like that can we make the most out of our time together.


Our coaching relationship of working in this highly focused and intensive way can sometimes be challenging but also fun and extremely rewarding if you are prepared to put in the effort to make it work. Expect to take lots of action, bearing in mind that no one else can walk the path for you. And be ready to get on an amazing journey, where you can expect to get really honest with yourself, to get vulnerable, to laugh, to get upset, to get emotional, to feel brave and sometimes scared and most likely to feel at awe at your capabilities and potential for growth and change that you never thought you have within.

This will give you a chance to tell me why you are looking for a coach and ask any questions you might have to help you decide if we are a good fit. We will look into what your goals are, what is holding you back and how I can help you achieve these goals. This will also allow you to get a sense of what coaching with me feels like, so you can decide if you’d like to join forces with me.

Once you’ve signed up to start coaching I’ll send you a Pre-coaching questionnare. I respect your time, therefore I’ll ask you to complete it prior to the first coaching session so valuable coaching time isn’t wasted with information gathering.  Also, it will challenge you to uncover you innermost desires and become clearer on what you want from your life and what we should focus on during our coaching.

With most clients I work for at least 3 months, depending on what each person is bringing on the table. Real and sustainable change takes time to implement and in my experience, especially when working with mindset, conditioning and habit change, the biggest transformations occur when we create space for the process of doing the deep inner work.

Having said that, however, some clients do benefit also from just four powerful sessions.

In line with mindfulness attitude, the most helpful way to enter a coaching journey is to be without expectations. To go with whatever each session brings and to trust that it will take what is needed to bring the desired change, without us trying to control the process or the outcome.


Real transformation takes time, effort, courage, and accountability. To achieve and maintain big shifts in your life, it’s best to partner together for a longer period of time.

Together, we’ll work to see where you are, where you’d like to get and what obstacles are keeping you back from achieving a life you desire. We will work with your fears, mindset, deeply engrained beliefs, and habits that are not in line with who you want to be and what you’d like to achieve.

I’ll coach you through making adjustments that bring forth greater joy, purpose, and fulfillment.

Coaching sessions are done via Zoom or Skype.

A Fresh Start

This starter package includes 4 coaching sessions with complete support and accountability.

This package is for you if you want to get started with coaching and move forward in action. The aim of this package is to map out a plan of action for you to take away and implement.  You have 1 topic you’d like to focus on. You want to gain clarity on which path to follow and become aware of your limiting beliefs, fears and unhelpful habits that prevent you from achieving your goal. You will work on clearing these obstacles while learning the tools to work with your busy mind and emotions that get in your way. With mindfulness and somatic style of coaching I will help you get more in touch with your body wisdom and your true self.

This package includes:

  • 4 x 50-minute weekly or biweekly ONLINE one on one coaching sessions
  • 20-minute Wrap-Up Final review session
  • Short-term goal setting
  • Customised weekly power-work to maximize your progress between coaching sessions
  • E-mail support in between the sessions to keep you on track
  • If you choose to kick start mindfulness practice as a powerful tool for your work, I will offer you all the necessary support in terms of resources and guidance.

This deep dive package is for you if are ready to make major changes in your life and want to become your best, most confident and authentic self while creating a life of ease, flow, and purpose.

The aim of this package is to unhook you from everything that’s holding you back and help you decide exactly what you want for your future and how you’re going to get it. This package includes working on your mindset, clearing limiting beliefs, fears and unhelpful habits that are keeping you stuck, and developing your ability to access and trust your inner wisdom. You will learn the tools to tame your mind, master your emotions and open your heart for yourself and others. We will break your goals down into manageable steps and create a focused strategy to accomplish them. With mindfulness and somatic style of coaching I will empower you to build self-confidence, rediscover your purpose and take steps towards the life you would genuinely enjoy.

  • 12 x 50-minute weekly or biweekly ONLINE one on one coaching sessions
  • Extensive Wrap-Up Final review session (30 minutes)
